Changing the world, one hacker at a time

I deeply trust in my intuition.

I also practice visualizing the things that I want. And it is literal magic. Just last month, I won seven Uniqlo “UT Wear Your World" T-Shirt and all I did was post pictures of myself in Uniqlo outfits and tagging them on the gram. I am so excited to say that I am wearing my Uniqlo UT Wear Your World T-Shirt with a lot of pride now!

Thinking of this, I realize that the one thing that cats and I do not have in common is cats love boxes. I just don't get it. One thing that people love to do is to put you in a box. I mean it is what the brain does right? Compartmentalize. I know it is great for neurons to categorize and differentiate different information but it is not so great for our artistic lives.

And even if you are not an artist, I encourage you to listen to your gut about the kinds of things that you want to explore. People make fun of me when I say that I want to be an underwear model but it is not a joke to me. It has never been a joke to me.

I have a reputation for doing a lot. Digital marketing, storytelling, volunteering, acting, activism, writing and I was worried that maybe my passion is a little all over the place. People often say that I am a Jack of All Trade and Master of None and sometimes it really bothers me to hear people say that.

I have just gone after whatever that seemed like really fun you know so I did question myself if I should stop doing that and thought if I would be more successful if I just focused on one thing.

But here is the thing. Most people don’t know the full quote. Well, the full quote is as follows:

“A Jack of All Trades is a Master of None, but oftentimes better than a Master of One.”

It is actually intended as a compliment, the phrase means that a person is a generalist rather than a specialist, versatile and adept at many things. So if you take the full quote into context, it is actually better to be a Jack of All Trades.

And in stepping back and really thinking about it, I have realized that all of my explorations really boils down to one thing, ultimately I see myself as someone who turns their pain into art.

And different mediums and platforms not only offer me the opportunity to do just that but by constantly seeking new and challenging ways to express myself, I FEEL MORE LIKE MYSELF.

I have never met anyone who is authentically themselves like myself. Authenticity is something I want to showcase in the work that I do. I don’t hold back in trying new things and with every new adventure I have, the more centered I become in who I am.

So don’t be afraid to explore your creative impulses. Listen to your INTUITION about what excites you and visualize yourself being in your favorite outfit every once in a while. I am a Jack of All Trade and I am happy being one in my favorite Uniqlo UT Wear Your World T-shirt.
